Jaroslava Kurandová / Zdeněk Rybka

Jaroslava Kurandová (1936–2024) and Zdeněk Rybka (*1938) are among the prominent, yet today neglected, artistic couples of Czech post-war art. Both of them based their painting work on geometric abstraction and belonged to the Concretist Club. The exhibition, which is being prepared in collaboration with Zdeněk Rybka, focuses mainly on their paintings from the 1960s to the 1990s. They had only one joint exhibition during their lifetime, in December 1989 in Krč in Prague. In Prague, they have only exhibited in smaller, sales galleries. Curator: Martina Vítková
